Dr Jonathan Lane grew up in the South West of England before studying Biomedical Sciences at both Plymouth and Montana State University. After attaining his BSc (Hons) he moved to Scotland earning a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Commendation from the University of Aberdeen and publishing his first paper in the British Dental Journal.

Jonathan worked within NHS and private practice in Orkney before moving to Yealmpton dental Practice Ltd. in 2020 to be closer to family. Since joining the practice Jonathan has completed a Masters in Restorative Dentistry from The University of Edinburgh achieving the highest grade of Distinction. Jonathan is also supervising the final year undergraduate clinics within Peninsula Dental School. He has worked closely alongside Professor Christopher Tredwin and currently offers a wide range treatments from simple fillings to complex full mouth rehabilitation and implants.

Jonathan is dedicated to providing the best possible standard of dentistry, recently becoming an Associate Fellow of the College of General Dentistry and currently working towards multiple awards in dental education and dental implantology. He actively encourages his students to provide treatment based on the latest research and is currently helping students to publish their own research.
